Business Development Executive

Your mission
Background to the role
Faversham House is looking for a business development executive to join the edie commercial team and work alongside the publisher and business development manager. edie’s vision is to be a global force for good with this new role being key in helping us realise the revenue growth ambition to make this a reality. In the short-term we will launch a new website and see huge potential to scale up our Forum and Awards through driving new commercial partnerships.   
The business development executive will lead in securing these by being able to establish credibility amongst senior executives across the multiple business sectors where edie can through its’ portfolio help. This will result in developing high value opportunities that will grow edie’s client base amongst existing and new market sectors.
The successful candidate will be a digital native who thrives on new business development, is experienced in selling sponsorship of live events and who enjoys creating a portfolio solution to match client needs. They will also break new ground among corporates who want to lead the sustainability agenda among their peers.
The role will be expected to contribute across the portfolio with so targets will be set to reflect this.

  • Market knowledge: aptitude to understand and develop knowledge within the market, using that knowledge to generate sustainable revenue streams

Performance objectives  
  • Achievement of personal sales targets  
  • Building new business accounts (and revenues) from an identified target group of new market sectors/customer groups set out annually and reviewed each quarter
  • Securing regular high-value new business commitments that are in excess of an agreed yield per contract  
  • Developing, manage and retain existing allocated accounts that grow revenues by an agreed growth target    
  • Exemplary sales administration and pipeline management through Salesforce CRM  
  • Assist the Publisher in achieving edie’s overall products and portfolio revenue growth targets in whatever way necessary
