The UK’s largest sustainable business media brand is seeking a technically skilled and ambitious Intelligence Editor to join our mission of accelerating corporate climate action through industry-leading digital content and live events.
edie is a fast-moving media brand which is passionate about sparking ideas and actions among our core audience of sustainability, ESG, energy and net-zero professionals. We are committed to making a positive difference to the world through our content and events, and we walk the walk when it comes to championing sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion – a collective vision which has seen Faversham House being named Small Digital Publisher of the Year for two years running.
In October 2023, edie is launching a new Corporate Membership which will involve the development and delivery of a plethora of insightful and in-depth content and exclusive content-led events for a growing community of paying annual subscribers. The Intelligence Editor will lead the development of this content and will therefore play a critical role in the success of this new proposition.
Reporting directly into the Publisher, edie’s Insight Editor will be passionate about creating industry-leading, purpose-driven content which drives audience growth and engagement. They will have an excellent eye for detail and a natural affinity for producing in-depth surveys, reports and analyses across a diverse range of topics for a business audience.
They will be equally passionate about connecting with people face-to-face – utilising strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively chair high-level panel discussions and expand edie’s Membership network.
Our ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of journalism and experience working on a busy editorial desk. They will understand what makes content engaging for a particular audience and have experience in building a loyal, returning audience through compelling digital content and live events.
Ideally, they will be:
Proactive, organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Confident attending events and acting as a brand ambassador
A great communicator and effective networker
An excellent writer, interviewer and researcher
What we require (knowledge, competencies, qualifications, and skills of applicant)
Previous editing experience is essential; NCTJ qualification is desirable
Excellent writing skills and a meticulous attention to detail, with a proven ability to grow audience engagement through compelling content
Excellent communication and chairing skills and a desire to take up an ambassadorial role for the brand at industry events
